ACSF Industry Audit Standard
Jet Solutions was the first air carrier to be recognized as meeting the Air Charter Safety Foundation's Industry Audit Standard (IAS). The IAS is the only audit program that comprehensively evaluates both an operator's SMS and its Part 135 regulatory compliance.Learjet and Challenger Aircraft
Jet Solutions uses Learjet† and Challenger† business jet aircraft — the higher speed advantage of the fleet can deliver a lower cost and up to 12% more hours per year.Outstanding Operational Security
Jet Solutions Aircraft Security Plan provides the highest level of security practical in today’s operational environment: TSA 12-5 Compliant.Exceeds FAA Regulations
Jet Solutions exceeds the FAA Regulations that mandate and govern maintenance requirements. While not mandated by FAA, Jet Solutions requires all scheduled maintenance to be performed by an FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station for all aircraft operating within its fleet.Highly Experienced Pilots
On average, our new pilots have more than 3,500 hours prior to being hired and are trained to rigorous FAA Air Carrier Standards: CFR 121 (Commercial Airline) and certified for Part 135 operations — currently exceeding FAA requirements.Pilot Training by Jet Solutions Flight Instructors
Pilot training is conducted by Jet Solutions flight instructors who are also line pilots; few other providers can make this claim.Newest and Best Equipped Aircraft
Jet Solutions has over 100 of the newest highly-equipped business aircraft in the industry. One hundred percent (100%) of aircraft in the fleet are equipped with advanced safety systems, including TCAS II (Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance Systems) and either EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System) or TAWS (Terrain Awareness and Warning System).
Above Average Captain Experience
Average experience of Jet Solutions Captains is significantly higher than the average minimum pilot requirements.
| Aircraft | Average Flight Hours | Average Age | Years with Jet Solutions |
| Learjet 40/45XR | 7,800 | 39 | 6.0 |
| Learjet 45/45XR | 7,800 | 39 | 6.0 |
| Learjet 60/60XR | 9,000 | 42 | 6.2 |
| Challenger 300 | 12,000 | 48 | 7.9 |
| Challenger 604/605 | 12,000 | 48 | 9.3 |
Exceed Training and Proficiency Check Requirements
- Jet Solutions’ Pilot and Crew training exceed the requirements of the FAA, CFR 135
- All pilots (Captain and First Officer) are trained to rigorous FAA Air Carrier Standards — CFR 121 (Commercial Airline) and certified for Part 135 operations — currently exceeding FAA requirements.
- All Jet Solutions First Officers are required to complete a course of flight training in their assigned aircraft and must be issued a Type Rating by the FAA. This Type Rating is in addition to the pilots’ Airman Certificate and is the highest level of flight proficiency granted by the FAA.
- All Jet Solutions First Officers are also Captain Qualified (with the exception of the Line Check required by 135.299), which means (in essence) all Jet Solutions aircraft fly with two Captains on board.
- Jet Solutions Pilots undergo flight training, ground training, and Competency and Instrument Proficiency Checks every six months — twice the amount required by the FAA.
Highly Experienced Pilots
On average, new hires have more than 3,500 hours prior to hire. Jet Solutions minimum Pilot requirements at hire are:
- 2,500 hours of total time fixed wing
- 500 hours of turbine time
- 500 hours multiengine time
- Airline Transport Pilot certificate
- First class medical
Training by Jet Solutions Flight Instructors
- Active Jet Solutions Pilots rotate in and out of Instructor assignments.
- Jet Solutions Instructors are Red Cross certified.
- All recurrent checks are conducted by Jet Solutions Check Airman. Our instructors and Check Airman are among the highest qualified in the industry.
Training Exclusively on Level D Flight Simulators
Jet Solutions Pilots receive training exclusively on Level D Flight Simulators. A Level D Flight Simulator accurately replicates all of the operational ground and flight functions of our designated aircraft. Some points to note about Level D Flight Simulators:
- The FAA considers flight time on a Level D Flight Simulator to be equivalent to flight time logged in the actual aircraft.
- Level D is the highest fidelity rating given to flight simulators: closest to reality; accurately represent airports used by Jet Solutions.
- After completing flight training on a Level D simulator, new Pilots receive a Captain's Type rating for the designated business jet.
Additional First Year Training
During the first year, new Jet Solutions Pilots must complete approximately two months of training that includes the following 15 courses:
- Security, TSA 12 - 5 Program
- Initial New Hire Training (IOE and Line Check included)
- General Operational Subjects
- Crew Resource Management
- Owner Service Training
- Aircraft Ground Training
- Proficiency Check and Type Rating
- Initial Operating Experience (a minimum of 25 hours actual flight time)
- Basic Indoctrination
- Emergency Training
- Initial Line Check (PIC only)
- Medical Training
- MedLink 24/7 Global Response Center Training
- International Operations
